I Love You's

I love you's   There are so many I love you's I can't make up my mind Which one I like the most, which one to you best applies: The good-morning I love you, when I open my eyes And you are lying by my side with all the dreams behind.   The I-missed-you-so-much I love you that Comes at the end of the day When tired, hungry and glad I meet you at our favorite café To sip a glass of red wine And unwind.   The take-good-care-of-yourself I love you, whispered on the train station platform When I would like so much to kiss you But the looks in the eyes of others inform Me that I should not tamper With their homophobic temper.   The I-need-you I love you is most Useful when sneezing and coughing I feverishly declare: "this cold will cost Me my life, I give you all my belongings" Lovingly you hold my hand And tell me this is not the end.   The excuse-me I love you, maybe the most common, Occurs inevitably after we have fought, I look at you, pouting lips, and say : "Come on, My discourse did not reflect my thoughts, But you must admit This time you pushed the limits"   And finally my favorite, the I-love-you I love you, The one said without any obvious reason But just the clear and simple fact that I love you This one occurs any season, Anyhow, anywhere, anytime, It is the most beautiful declaration, And will not fail in time.
