Good start
This morning, late for work, sitting in the metro, slightly nauseous, a woman and her son sat in front of me. The kid was 6 or 7, maybe a bit handicapped, his face was not harmonious. He was very lively and funny. At least one of his fingers always connected with his mother's hand. I had my headphones on but I could tell they had a very sensible discussion about their surroundings. As kids usually do, the little boy asked questions to which his mother seemed to answer very naturally. They were very touching.
I guess I was looking at both of them for quite some time when the woman looked up and smiled to me. I smiled back.
It was my stop. I left them behind, blissful and bound like only a mother and child can be.
It was just the kind of smile I needed this morning.
